[How to] Extract any compressed file on your mobile.


Sometimes most of the files we downloaded online always comes in zip format, which cannot be opened unless it’s extracted. Also a JAR file is a collection of files compressed with Java tools. Java developers typically compress their Java applications and applets in a single JAR file to simplify distribution. This format is typically used with software that is portable, or rather functional across multiple operating systems.This guide will also help you extract and view the contents of these files.

This particular tutorial will teach you the steps to follow for you to be able to extract or unzip or decompress a compressed file on your Nokia Asha phone.

App Required:
Steps:
  • Download & install Hammer App on your phone.
  • Now open that app.
  • Goto that location where your have your compressed file(ZIP/RAR etc.).
  • Now open that file(here Sample.zip).

  • Goto Menu > Select all option.
  • Again tap Menu > Extract selected items.

  • Open that folder in which you want to extract all files from your compressed file, then tap on Extract items here.
  • All items will be extracted from the compressed file to a specific folder(which you have selected) and you'll get a confirmation popup.



  •  Now close Hammer App and Open your phone's default file manager.
  •  You'll get all extracted items in that particular folder where you want to.
